Principal Report
Welcome back, everyone! We hope you had a great break and are excited for the new school year. To our new families, welcome to Edenhope College. We can't wait for you to settle in and enjoy your time with us. We're looking forward to working closely with all families to ensure every child succeeds at our school.
Though we've been back for three weeks, I want to express my excitement at officially becoming Assistant Principal of Edenhope College. January 29, 2024, marked my official appointment. I understand the responsibility that comes with this role, following in the footsteps of Mr Chad Frost and Miss Rachel Munro, who have done an outstanding job over the past three years.
For those who don't know me, I started at Edenhope College in 2005 as a Graduate Teacher specialising in Technology Education and Vocational-based studies. Over the years, I've taught every subject from P-12 and served as Teaching and Learning Coordinator and Manager of the Edenhope College Trade Training Centre. In 2015, I earned a Master's Degree in School Leadership, focusing on building others' capacity. Before teaching, I worked as a Commercial Chef and an OHS Advisor, gaining experience in various fields.
In 2018, I took a break to spend time with my family and venture into entrepreneurship with Tucker's Auto Care. During the pandemic, I taught remotely and assisted schools as a casual relief teacher. When Mrs Heffernan retired, I took on the role of Careers and Vocational Studies Coordinator, further developing my teaching and leadership skills.
As Assistant Principal, I aim to inspire greatness and support the growth of all individuals within our school community.
My vision as a leader: To be a leader that inspires others to grow to greatness.
My aspirations: The best way to predict your future is to create it. When you do what you do best you are helping not only yourself, but the world.
I want to honour my potential.
How do I want to be known: That I was a person that made a difference and added value to the lives of others?
Mrs Donna Tucker
Assistant Principal
