Welcome to Technology for 2024! This week students have had the opportunity to begin their year learning new skills and creating amazing products.

Sweet Desires

This week students created their own sweet pastries with a Valentine theme using puff pastry and seasonal berries. They were very creative in their designs and were able to prepare and present their pastries very aesthetically.

Year 7/8 Food Technology

This year students in Year 7/8 have had the opportunity to participate in an elective program for Food Technology. This week students have familiarised themselves with the Food Technology room and prepared American Hotcakes for their first production.

Grade 5/6 Food Technology

This week students revisited food safety and hygiene for their first production for the term. Students then practiced their knife handling skills to prepare a variety of fruit for their fruit salad cone. They used a variety of seasonal fruits and presented them in waffle cone. There were even flowers created with grapes, well done to all students for their creativity and enthusiasm for their first Food Technology lesson.

Foundation/Grade 1 Food Technology

This week our very new students were able to learn all about how to prepare ourselves for Food Technology, and how to be safe in the kitchen with ourselves and our food. Students prepared a fruit pizza slice using watermelon, yogurt, berries, and grapes. The fruit pizza slice was then frozen and students were able to enjoy this summer treat!
