HELPERS NEEDED

The library would like help from any parent who can be available from 8.50am to help shelve books.

If you can spare approximately 30 minutes once a week or fortnight, please come and see us in the library. No experience necessary, however volunteers must have a current "Working with Children" card. Pre-schoolers are most welcome.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

We would also like to remind parents and carers of the rules related to borrowing:

  • Children (Prep - 3) are required to have a library bag when they come to the library
  • Students may borrow up to 5 books per week
  • Please keep drink bottles on the outside pocket of the school bags
  • All books are borrowed out for a period of two weeks. If your child needs more time, please ensure they re-borrow the book. They may be returned any time during the two weeks, not just on their library day.
  • Books are to be returned to the library trolley in your child's grade first thing in the morning.
  • Overdue notices are sent home every few weeks
  • The library is open 20 minutes before school for borrowing

All year levels have one library session per week.

St Louis Library has an extensive range of books for your children to read. Please encourage them to make use of the wonderful resources provided by the school.

PARENT LIBRARY

The library offers a small collection of books for parents to borrow that relate to the development of your child. Some of the titles include the topics of resilience, good health and nutrition, family meetings, sibling rivalry, discipline, sex education etc. Please feel free to ask us in the library how to borrow or browse this collection.
