Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Good afternoon families,

I was blessed this week to have another grandson born on Valentine's Day. Felix David is our 10th grandchild.

Congratulations to Thomson and Taft Wood, on the safe arrival of their second child. Joshua Charlie was born on Monday 12 February.

Thank you to the many parents who volunteered on Shrove Tuesday to help with giving our students their delicious pancakes.

Thank you to Lisa, Anne and Braden for cooking sausages for the Welcome Picnic. It was wonderful to see so many families at the picnic especially all the new families. Thank you to Mrs Stefanec and the Year 6 students who helped with the games.

Happy birthday to Father Andrew, he will be 60 on Monday 19 February. We wish him lots of celebrations and many memories.

Thank you Father Andrew for celebrating with us the beginning school mass. Our staff were commissioned and the Year 6 leaders received their leadership badges.

Last week we had Kingston Council run a Road Safety incursion for the 4-6 students. This week Tara will return and work with the P-3 students. It is a great opportunity for all our students to learn/ be reminded about being safe on our roads.

Lent

This week we started Lent and all students came home with a Project Compassion box. Please encourage your children to give some of their money to Caritas. Caritas is a charity that helps poor communities across the world with obtaining fresh water, educating children, supporting the growing of crops and many more wonderful projects.
