SAS CADETS GRADUATE!
A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the Cadets and their families who had their Graduation last week! All Cadets successfully completed their final MISSION of presenting some of their key learnings from the program to their Caregivers and Teachers.
Each Cadet has shown significant growth and learning in their emotion regulation and social skills. They have demonstrated effectiveness in improving their four key life skills: • Emotion Recognition (in self and others) • Emotion Regulation (particularly anxiety and anger) • Social Problem Solving • Social Skills (for friendship and teamwork!).
Some thoughts from Parents in the program 2023:
“The online games in SAS were teaching necessary social skills whilst the kids were having fun!”
“The follow-up sessions with Parents were really worthwhile. It let me know what he had been doing in SAS that week and what he was expected to practice at home to reinforce that skill”.
“The rewards were fantastic because they were tailored to the particular child's interest”.
