Year 4 Steiner:

Celebrating Learning

The Kalevala

Welcome back to school, and here's to reconnecting students from a gap year apart. We reconvene with a new teacher at the front of the ship, none other than Eddie.

We the Gurrborras (Koalas) have begun our year by getting to know each other through a series of activities and familiarising ourselves with the structure and schedules of our day and week. We have discussed our wellbeing, and the expectations of each other and our hopes for this year’s learnings.

We have also begun our first Main Lesson of the year “The Kalevala”, a tale of poems that describe the beginning of time and the history of a peoples far from our shores. Students have already created a painting to reflect the telling of a poem that speaks of a giant set of eggs creating the world we see and live upon today.
