Celebrating Learning

Welcome back!

We have moved into a new classroom and we are all settled into the new rhythms and routines that grade 1 brings. 

We start every day with 15 - 20 minutes of skipping and I am so impressed with how quickly they have taken to it! It is a great way to start the day, getting our bodies and minds moving. 

Our main lesson at the moment is form drawing. We are really working on making clear shapes and lines, which has been wonderful for great motor skills and writing fundamentals. 

In practice time we are reviewing a lot of what we learnt last year, but also just getting used to the rhythms of the lessons. 

Overall, a wonderful start to the year. It has been great to get straight into the learning and doing!
