Celebrating Learning

The foxes Loxy and Soxy have had their first week of school, busily:

Gathering herbs, round the garden, smelling the herbs, strong and good. 

Stirring the oats, round the pot, tasting the porridge, soft and sweet. 

Gathering close, round the table, sharing the space, happy and warm. 

Swirling the paint, round the page, watching the colours, bright and fun. 

Hearing the story, round the lyre, seeing the foxes, brave and true. 

Galloping galloping, round the school, moving together, close and kind.

They have been helping each other in the classroom, the magic garden, the sacred library, and the sandpit that still sounds like the sea among other places. They have had a good start to school, and so have we.
