Scholastic Book Club
The Scholastic Book Club is managed by volunteer parents on behalf of the school. It is a wonderful initiative that encourages reading throughout the school and Scholastic has a fabulous range of books and educational tools to help children encourage a love of reading. The school receives vouchers to the value of 15% of purchases to buy more school resources, which enhances the education of our children. The children get so excited when they receive their Scholastic catalogues and even more so when they receive their books.
St Joseph's has been very fortunate to have Matilda Abey and Pareeru Jain manage the Scholastic program for the past 2 years. They have both thoroughly enjoyed being involved in this valuable initiative and the opportunity to get to know the wider school community and teachers along the way. We thank them both for their time and dedication in organising Book Club.
The school is now seeking a volunteer to assist Clara Rodriguez in managing Scholastic. Ideally it would be for a parent from the junior school (as that is where the most interest in Scholastic is driven), however there is still a lot of orders from the middle and senior grades.
