Vanuatu Fundraiser

On the last day of Term 1, student leaders organised a fundraising event with the aim of raising money to support the training and work placement of 3 nurses from the LifeChanger College in Vanuatu.  The whole campus casual clothes day raised $865 to support the students to live at the Nursing Clinic for a week of learning and practical training. They are required to attend 3 times throughout the year.

Thank you for your continued support to facilitate educational growth for students at LifeChanger Christian College.

Prep PE Activities

The Working with Children class helped run some PE activities for the Prep classes. The high school students led rotations including hurdles, throwing, tunnel ball, jumping and bean bag throwing. What a wonderful way for our primary and high school classes to interact together.

Science & Engineering Challenge!

On 9 May, our amazing team of Year 9/10 students took on the North West Science & Engineering Challenge!

Working in small teams, they tackled a range of hands-on challenges — from building bridges and gliders to designing eco habitats, wind turbines, and even solving tricky problems with electricity, communication, and logistics!

Their teamwork and determination paid off — finishing 2nd overall, just 40 points shy of first place!

As a result of this, the team travelled to Hobart on 19 May to compete in the State Finals where they finished 4th overall! Congratulations to the team on an amazing result!

Thank you, Zane King!

After 22 incredible years of dedication, leadership and service, we say a heartfelt thank you to Zane King. Zane's impact has been profound, and his commitment unwavering. Zane has left a lasting legacy, and we are truly grateful.

We wish Zane all the very best for the next chapter in his journey.

PIGs groups 'Junior Journalists'

Our wonderful Junior Journalist PIGs group have been out and about interviewing some students about the Athletics Carnival. They have interviewed, written a draft and discussed ways they can improve their articles. Enjoy reading!

Millie’s Magnificent Word

In this story we will look at the opinions on the Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 26 February.

First, I went to one of our Carey house captains, Zayde. I asked him what his favourite moment was, but he could not choose just one and simply enjoyed having fun. In his opinion, the best dressed was Harry who had dressed up as Shrek.

Then I interviewed Eddie, one of our Luther house captains. He said his favourite moment was seeing the twins, Charlotte and Zoey, run the same race at the same time.

Raging Record Breakers!

Max, Daniel and Alyssa all broke Primary Athletic Carnival records on Wednesday 26 February. Alyssa broke a record last year while Max and Daniel broke records this year (2025). Max and Alyssa broke the 400-metre running race record and Daniel broke the discus distance. Ella C won the best dressed; she looked amazing!

Interviews

J.J.: ‘How did you break the record, Daniel?’

Daniel: ‘It’s just in me.’

J.J.: ‘Alyssa how did you feel breaking the running record last year?’

Alyssa: ‘Excited and tired.’

J.J.: ‘What did you like about the Athletics Carnival Max?’

Max: ‘I liked every race because I really like running.’

Everyone we interviewed said it was such a fun day.
