Whole School News

Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra

Last week, we were blessed to welcome some members of the TSO (Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra), who visited our school to present a brilliant show called "The Science of Sound".

Students from P–5 at Burnie campus and K–5 at Ulverstone campus were wonderful listeners and thoroughly enjoyed each session.

We learnt so much about how sound is made and all the fascinating ways it can be manipulated on different instruments.

From investigators to composers, conductors, and even garden hose trumpet players — we had it all!

It was a joy-filled morning that got our brains buzzing and left our hearts full.

A huge thank you to the TSO for making the trip up to the NW of Tassie, and to the Variety Club for covering the cost so all schools could enjoy the show free of charge.

Year 6 Camp Highlights!

Highlights included visits to Parliament House and the Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery in Hobart—learning more about our world and our place in it.

Most importantly, students were reminded that they are amazingly created, fully known, and totally loved by God. This camp was all about becoming the people He has created them to be—together, as a strong and connected group of God’s kids.

Our Year 6 students had an unforgettable time at the Blue Lagoon Camp —building friendships, deepening faith, and exploring the beauty of Tasmania! From team-building activities and spotlight games to powerful worship and devotions, every moment was about growing together and being free to seize the moment!

FIRST LEGO League Challenge Experience Day!

Last week, Year 4-6 students from both campuses went to the UTAS campus for a First Lego League Challenge experience day. They explored all parts of the competition, got hands-on with building & coding robots, brainstormed ideas for an innovation project and tested their skills on the mission table. Such a fun and inspiring day full of creativity, teamwork, and robotics in action!

Please bring your gold coins!!!

Join us for snacks, music, games, prizes and a night of trivia and a whole lotta fun as we support our Ulverstone campus Year 5 to 8 Choir trip and participation in the Young Tasmania Sings musical performance at the Festival of Voices in Hobart. Please purchase a ticket or reserve a table to show your support. To RSVP, scan the QR code on the flyer.
