Winter PSSA Gala Days

This year, the PSSA will be conducted in a Gala Day format! Winter PSSA games will take place in Term 2 and Term 3 during Week 3 and Week 5 on Fridays, with backup days in Week 4 and Week 6. On these exciting days, students will participate in multiple games throughout most of the day. The first Gala Day will be held on Friday, 15 May 2025.

 

Please note that each sport will be played at a different location, so be sure to refer back to the permission note on School Bytes for detailed sport-specific Gala locations.

 

Please ensure your child arrives at school by 8:30 a.m. on Gala Days, as all PSSA participants will have their rolls marked at Chatswood Public School prior to an 8:45 a.m. departure.

 

Term 2 Dates

  • Day 1: 16/5/25 (wet weather back up 23/5/25)
  • Day 2: 30/5/25 (wet weather back up 6/6/25)

Term 3 Dates

  • Day 3: 1/8/25 (wet weather back up 8/8/25)

  • Day 4: 15/8/25 (wet weather back up 22/8/25)

     

Uniform Requirements 

Junior and Senior AFL

  • Players must be in their full Chatswood Public School sport uniform.  
  • A mouth guard is mandatory for all players. If your child does not have a mouth guard they cannot participate.   
  • Studded shoes are NOT allowed to be worn.    

Junior and Senior Boys and Girls Soccer 

  • Players must be in their full Chatswood Public School sport uniform. 
  • Long socks and shin guards are mandatory for all players. If your child does not have long socks and shin guards they cannot participate on the day.
  • A mouth guard and studded shoes are optional.

Junior and Senior Netball

  • Players must be in their full Chatswood Public School sport uniform.
