NSW Public Schools Student Survey

In Term 2, we are offering our students the opportunity to participate in the NSW Public Schools Student Survey. The survey gives students the chance to share their thoughts and feelings about life at school, including questions about their engagement, learning experiences and wellbeing at school.

Hearing directly from our students will help us understand what’s working well and where improvements can be made to our school. The survey is confidential, takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and will be conducted online during school hours.

Participation is voluntary. If you prefer your child NOT to participate, please complete the opt-out consent form attached and return it to the school email, with attention to Ms Samantha Silipo by Wednesday, 14 May 2025.

2025 “Hello Mandarin” Recitation Competition Australia

你好,中文" 全澳中文朗诵比赛

The “Hello Mandarin” Recitation Competition Australia (HMRCA) is an exciting language event held across Australia. This is an important event for learning Chinese, promoting Chinese culture, spreading friendship, promoting community harmony, and advocating peace. Students may register as individual participants or as part of the school team.

This year, our school is excited to participate in the Mandarin Recitation Competition. We invite students from all stages to sign up for auditions to join our school team. All students are welcomed to join and celebrate the diversity of our community.

The audition for our school team will occur on Thursday, 15 May at lunchtime in the PLC room (located in the library). Students are encouraged to present a poem, a song, or a nursery rhyme in Mandarin in the audition. The performance should last under one minute.

If your child has already signed up as an individual contestant, they are still encouraged to audition for the school team.

今年，我们学校将以校队的形式参加“你好，中文”朗诵比赛！我们邀请所有年级的学生报名参加试镜。所有的学生都欢迎参加比赛，一起庆祝我们学校社区的文化多样性。

学校团体的选拔将在下周四 5 月 15 日中午午饭时间在图书馆的PLC教室进行。学生们可以准备中文古诗，歌曲或童谣来参加试镜。准备的节目时长不超过一分钟即可。

如果您的孩子已经报名参加个人比赛，他们仍然可以报名参加校队试镜。
