Late arrival

A friendly reminder to all families about the importance of arriving on time each morning. Teachers are on duty from 8:30 a.m and it’s important that students are at school and ready to start learning by the 9:00 a.m. bell. Students can be onsite anytime after 8:30 a.m.  A good morning routine helps set students up for a successful day and ensures they don’t miss valuable learning time. As I greet students at the gate each morning, I’m encouraging everyone to arrive before 9:00 a.m so they can start their day calmly and confidently. One of my goals this term is to see no students needing to sign in late at the office — let’s work together to make this happen.

Cross Country

Our school cross country, which was unfortunately cancelled last Monday, 5 May due to wet weather, has been rescheduled for this Monday, 12 May. We’re looking forward to seeing our students participate and enjoy the event. Please be aware that if wet weather affects the course again, we may need to adjust the format of the event. We will keep families updated as soon as possible if any changes are required.

At this stage, it will go forward as planned on Monday, 12 May.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers, grandmothers, and carers in our school community. I hope you all have a lovely weekend. It was wonderful to see so many families join us for our Mother’s Day morning tea today. A big thank you to our P&C for organising such a lovely event.

Uniform

We are aware that Lowes is currently out of stock in some areas of our school uniform. I have approved alternate uniform options available at Lowes for students until stock is replenished. We anticipated there may be some short-term challenges as we transition from P&C uniform sales to Lowes, and we appreciate families’ patience and understanding during this time.

The P&C will be running a second-hand uniform shop this afternoon in the school hall, which may also be a helpful option. Thank you to all the P&C volunteers who assisted throughout the day.

Facebook

It’s been great to see how many families have already followed our school Facebook page. We’d love even more of our community to join. This week, followers have already seen photos of our Year 6 students on camp, our OAK students taking part in Kickability, and our K-2 students enjoying Initialit activities. Follow along to see more timely updates of the fantastic learning and activities happening across our school.
