Hello from 1A

We have made a wonderful start to the year in 1A. Many new friendships have been formed and are blossoming. We have enjoyed settling into our new routines and going on fun excursions like school swimming lessons and Coal Creek! 

What has been your favourite part of Y 1 so far?

• Harlah - “when we all get to play together.”
• Tanvir - “making new friends.”
• Winter - “having Kathy and Lily as our aides.”
• Max - “learning addition and subtraction in maths.”
• Phoenix - “going to Coal Creek because my mum helped too.”
• Zara - “when we go to ICT because we can use computers.”
• Eli - “I like starting grade one and being in grade 1.”
• Jesse - “doing sport!”
• Alora - “making new friends everyday!”
• Indie - “I like having my teacher everyday”
• Ivy - “Picking up rubbish in the yard with Gigi at Recess and Lunch.” 
• Brooks - “having Miss Anderson as my teacher.”
• Nevaeh - “helping everyone and being kind.”
• Gigi - “doing Maths, UFLI, art and playing with Ivy, cleaning the yard, and having Miss Anderson as my teacher.”
• Ava - “school swimming.”
• Louis - “my teachers!” 
• Arden - “playing with Max!”
• Arlo - “handwriting in the mornings.”
• April - “playing gymnastics with Ivy in the yard at recess and lunch.’ 
• Rhyda - “making new friends and having my favourite teachers.’
• Chance - “playing with my new friends.”
• Lily - “I loved the excursion to Coal Creak - it was amazing! I also like that all the students in 1A all look out for each other.”

I am so proud of all the students in 1A and all of their achievements so far. I look forward to seeing how they continue to learn and grow this year.
