Due to VCE exams taking place in the library for the next 4 weeks, we have moved into a classroom (S3). We have a limited selection of books, magazines, and games available. If students have a particular book that they would like to borrow, they are encouraged to contact library staff and we will try to fulfill that request. Printing/copying is available on the colour printer in the T-Wing (outside T12 & T13). Board games and computer games may be played during recess and lunchtime in S2 (once the teacher on duty has arrived).

Book of the Week

Jurassic Park

by Michael Crichton

Seen the movies? Read the book that started it all – from the author behind the Westworld TV series.

Billionaire John Hammond has done the impossible: he has brought dinosaurs back to life using advanced genetic engineering and created an island theme park for rich tourists. But when he brings a group of experts to the island to sign-off on his project, a violent storm and a fatal computer flaw spell disaster. Paleontologists Alan Grant and Ellie Satler, and mathematician Ian Malcolm are forced to fight for their lives as dinosaurs run amok throughout the park.

Jurassic Park presents a cautionary tale of science gone wrong and the consequences of trying to ‘play God’. This is the ultimate novel for dinosaur enthusiasts, full of action and suspense, and will leave readers wanting more.

Both Jurassic Park (the original novel), Jurassic Park: the movie novelization, and sequel The Lost World are available to borrow from our library.
