Headspace in Schools Update

Please see below correspondence from Penny Bolton, Executive Manager- Health Services at Brophy Family and Youth Services regarding our headspace in schools program for Term 4:

This year Courtney, a psychologist from headspace in Warrnambool has provided sessions for students at Monivae College. Courtney will take maternity leave at the end of term 3. During term 4 headspace Warrnambool will be offering group work to students while the new Centre in Hamilton is established. Group work is a key part of the headspace model and will be part of the offerings at the new Centre once operational. Group work is co-designed with the school wellbeing team to deliver a range of evidence-based interventions including harm reduction and psychoeducation. In term 3 we will offer a "Healthy Choices" program for year 7s and 8s. We encourage you to get in touch with the school wellbeing team for further information or if you would like your child to be involved.

Some Year 7 parents/ guardians will have been emailed and invited to participate in this ‘Healthy Choices’ program on Thursday 12th and 19th of October, 2023.
