Learning @ TPPS
Grade 4 Bike Ed
In Week 1, Grade 4 students participated in a Bike Education program. It was a fantastic event, with students displaying resilience and a growth mindset as they set out to improve their understanding of road rules and their ability riding bikes. The culmination of the program was an exhausting bike ride to Westerfolds Park where they had a picnic and set out on a 5km trek.
It was a memorable event and we are so proud of the effort of all Grade 4 students.
Division Atheltics
Last Wednesday, the students who qualified from the District Athletics Carnival competed in the Division Competition. Despite challenging weather that week, we were fortunate to enjoy mostly uninterrupted competition. Our students went head-to-head with the best from various divisions in their qualified events. Congratulations to Grade 6 students Macey and Fraser, who secured 1st place in their individual events. They will represent the school at the Regional Athletics Carnival on October 19. Well done to all participants for their dedication and sportsmanship. We look forward to celebrating more success in the future!
This week, TPPS proudly flew its flag at the Regional Junior Hoop Time All Star Finals and the annual District Basketball Round Robin, held on Tuesday and Wednesday. Our 3/4 Boys secured a State Final spot in December, while the 3/4 Girls gave it their all in the final. Additionally, our 5/6 Girls finished as runners-up, and the 5/6 Boys secured a commendable 3rd place. Congratulations to all for your dedication and sportsmanship!”
