Grade 1

What an exciting start to the Term! This week the Grade 1 students are exploring the author of Pamela Allen. Students have generated ideas from her text ‘Mr McGee and the Perfect Nest’ to create their own version of the story. The students are looking forward to finalising their writing piece and present it to their classmates.

Grade 2

Over the last two weeks in Grade 2 we have been looking at Time. Our students have been focusing on using terms like o’clock, quarter to, quarter past and half past. They have also been looking at comparing and matching analogue time to digital time. One activity that was particularly fun was when the students got to create their own analogue clock with moving hands using split pins.

The students of Grade 2 have been absolutely crushing it with the Time unit so far and next week will be looking at days of the week and months of the year.
