Review

School improvement is a continual process, however every four years we are reviewed with the assistance of an external assessor.

Trish Cowling will meet with students, staff and parents throughout tomorrow and Friday. She will assist us in creating our next School Improvement Plan 2024 - 2028.  If you  would like to be a part of a small parent group on Friday morning at 9:00am, please email me.

Berry Street Education Model

Staff had an informative day learning about the Berry Street Education Model on the last day of Term Three. This was the first day of four that staff will be participating in. The Berry Street Education Model (BSEM) is a practical approach to learning and teaching that enables teachers to increase engagement of all students to improve students' self-regulation, growth and academic achievement.

Walk to School Day

Now that the weather is warming up and the days are lighter we think about becoming more active. This month is Walk to School month. We will be supporting this initiative by hosting a Walk to School Day on Friday 20 October.

Walk to School 2023 is brought to you by Mornington Peninsula Shire and Peninsula Health. We have won a $100 IGA voucher which will go towards breakfast. More details to follow.

A huge thank you to Tahnee for organising this event.

Term Four Dates

Term Four is a busy term. Please note that we will have two School Closure Days on Monday 6 November and Wednesday 8 November (BSEM). These two days are either side of the Melbourne Cup public holiday. Students' last day of the 2023 school year will be Friday 15 December at 3:20pm.

There are lots of local community events and announcements. Please check them all out on the final page of the newsletter.

Have a great week,

Monica
