Grandparents Day

St Joseph's School celebrated a most beautiful Grandparent's Day yesterday.

It was a day of great excitement and joy.  The children were truly buzzing to start our day in expectation of their special visitors, and what a morning it was!

Parents you will see our concert on Friday afternoon commencing at 2.00pm so I will not give away too much of the event, however be ready for a wonderful celebration of our children's talents.

As always there are many people to thank for such a day.

All members of our Staff worked tirelessly planning and preparing the items and the students for this special day.  They came early and set up, and packed up at the end of the day.  Thank you to the Staff who work so hard.  We are a small school and a small staff and everyone works so hard for your children.

To our mums who came early to set up and feed our grandparents - Nat, Emily and Lisa - we could never have managed without you!

To the senior boys who came early and brought up chairs and tables from storage and generally helped in any way possible - you were amazing!

To our beautiful Grandparents.  They laughed in all the right places and had a few tears also in the right places.  They said all the right things to their special children who hang off their every word of praise.  Great work Grandparents - you are much loved!

Lots of lovely photos on our Facebook page if you would like to join us.

Caravan Park: Development Application

Although I am not feeling very confident that the application will be rejected, please note that at the General Council Meeting on Wednesday the 24th September the decision on this application will be handed down.  I have had no success at many levels of government when trying to block this application and now we just have to hope that our Councillors step up - we should hold them accountable for their decisions about our children.
