Pilgrimage to  Ireland

As we approach the end of Term 3, I find myself preparing for a journey that I hope will be both spiritually renewing and personally transformative. This Saturday, I will be travelling to Ireland on pilgrimage alongside a group of Religious Education Leaders and Deputy Principals from across Melbourne. I can not believe it still and would like to thank both Verona Gridley and Father Dispin for endorsing this experience.

With a heart full of both nervous anticipation and deep excitement, I step into this opportunity, trusting that God will work in and through this experience in ways I cannot yet imagine. It is a true blessing to walk in the footsteps of those who have gone before us in faith, and I carry with me not only my own intentions, but also the prayers and hopes of our school and parish community.

Thank you for the trust you’ve placed in me to carry these prayers. I will quite literally be packing them in my suitcase, and offering them in the sacred places I visit, in the quiet of holy churches and in moments of stillness along the way.

Please know that you and your families will be remembered in prayer by all those in our group. We go not only as individuals, but as part of a larger community, united in faith and gratitude.

This Week's Gospel - John 3:13-17

Lifting each other up in Christ

This week’s Gospel reminds us of God’s deep love, that He gave His only Son not to judge the world, but to save it. Jesus speaks about being “lifted up,” and it makes me wonder how  we lift each other up in our school community and our world? How do we show love and hope, especially to students who need it most? As we go through the week, maybe we can pause and notice the small ways we bring life and light to those around us, just like Jesus does for us.

Carlo Acutis becomes canonised as a Saint!

Last week, our students in 5/6A shared some wonderful information about Carlo Acutis who was canonised on September 7, 2025. He is referred to as the 'patron saint for the Internet' or 'God's influencer'. Carlo will be known as the first millennial saint.

Here are some slides that were shared at assembly last week.
