First Holy Communion Congratulations

Congratulations to our Yr 4 students: Ella, Grace, Amaya, Fletcher, Malual, and Baz who with 4 other children of St Mary's parish received the Eucharist for the first time on Sunday August 10th.  They entered prayerfully into the Mass and enjoyed the special  morning tea with family, friends and parishioners afterwards.

Confirmation News (now offered for Yr 5 students)

A notice went out on Seesaw and was sent home to inform families of Year 5 and  6 students that Confirmation will be offered to Yr 5 and 6 students for 2025. The next time Confirmation will be offered at St Mary's will be in 2027.

Fr Wahid's Farewell

At the Assumption Day Mass the children and staff farewelled Fr Wahid. The children presented cards to Fr Wahid and the P and F presented him with a gift and words of thanks.

The children sand an African Blessing song at the Mass to bless him on his way as he serves the Gisborne Parish community. We have been blessed with 11 years of his ministry in Castlemaine. The parish had a  well attended farewell on Sun August 17th. The school was represented by the school council and words of gratitude were expressed for Fr Wahid's loving, caring and prayerful contribution to the school.

School/ Parish Feast Day- The Holy Name of Mary

On Fri 12th September the school and parish celebrate our feast day of The Holy Name of Mary. The whole school will attend Mass, followed by a feast day activity to celebrate together.
