Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Carers,
Recently you were given an opportunity to complete a survey regarding the current arrangements for purchasing a School Uniform.
Thank you to the over 100 parents/carers who shared their thoughts on the current uniform supply arrangements.
The majority of parents were happy with the current arrangements however many questioned the cost of some of the items and the quality of the fabric used.
The two most common requests were:
- An easy to use online ordering system.
- Having the shop open during hours that would help working parents access the uniforms.
There is currently a tender process underway as the School looks as various options for the supply of the uniform. (N.B. We are NOT looking at changing the School's uniform)
Early next Term a committee, including a parent representative, will meet with an adviser from Sydney Catholic Schools to examine the options and make a decision on which company will be awarded the contract for the next three-years.
The Parent community will be informed once that decision is made.
LANGUAGE CLASSES
I am pleased to announce that our school will be introducing optional Language classes, outside of school hours, in Term 4.
Both FRENCH (Wednesday mornings) and SPANISH (Wednesday afternoons) will be available for an eight-week program, starting on 22 October.
These classes will be conducted by trained tutors from Inter Flow Languages, who have provided their Working With Children Check details to the School.
As this is an EXTERNAL program all arrangements regarding enrolment / payment are done directly with the company NOT the school.
VOLUNTEER INDUCTION TRAINING (ZOOM)
I will be running one final volunteer induction session on Wednesday 22 October at 7:00pm via zoom.
Anyone who would like to help out on any excursion or school activity MUST have completed this session AND complete the online training module on the Sydney Catholic School's website.
Please add your name HERE if you would like to attend. A link to join the zoom will be sent home next Term.
TERM 4 DISCO
Our Parent Group have organised a disco for our students in Term 4, Friday 14 November.
If any parent/carer is available to help out (e.g. cooking the BBQ, serving food, selling items, setting up / cleaning up) please email Nikki Blanche at:
An event such as this can only take place with the support of parent volunteers.
ST PATRICK'S PARENT GROUP
Our Parent group is looking for people to nominate to take on a leadership role within this very important group in our community.
The role description of the PRESIDENT, the SECRETARY and the TREASURER can be found in the Constitution which can be located here.
If you are interested OR you would like to nominate someone (please ask them first!) please send through their name and the position they are interested in to pnf.01908@sydstu.catholic.edu.au
Also, if you are interested in becoming part of the FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE for 2026, please email your interest to the same address.
On behalf of all the Staff I wish our students a great break and I hope all our families have the opportunity to enjoy some quality time together.
Steve Darcy (Principal)
