World Teacher’s Day

World Teacher’s Day is celebrated on Friday 25 October and we extend a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful and dedicated teaching staff. Their passion, commitment and tireless efforts to inspire and support our students make a profound difference in our school community. We feel so fortunate to have such exceptional educators shaping the future of our students every day.

Senior Excellence Evening

Last week, we celebrated our incredible Year 10 to 12 students and their achievements at the Senior Excellence Evening. Celebrating the achievements of our students is an important part of recognising the hard work and dedication our students apply throughout the year, along with their commitment to good study habits and learning routines. We also know that parents and carers play an integral role in student success; well done to all parents and carers of those students too.

Our celebration included a spectacular performance by The Gap State High School Symphony Orchestra consisting of our senior ensembles, Symphonic Winds and Paganini. This was then followed later in the evening with a moving performance by our Chorale which was accompanied by pianist Carl Bundesen, violinist Sarah, double bassist Alexandria, and guitarist Esther. The depth of talent within our school is incredible. Thank you to Mrs McMullen, Ms Elsworth, Mrs Donovan and Mrs Collins for all of their support with student rehearsals and performances on the night.

We also had the opportunity to celebrate staff excellence and recognise the outstanding contributions made by our staff through the announcement of the winners of our Staff Excellence awards. Congratulations to each of our staff award winners.
