Cookie's Life

Cookie - St Martha's Wellbeing Dog

It has been a busy couple of weeks, I am now coming to work 2 days a week! I have visited lots of classes and seen lots of students. I am starting to feel relaxed in classes and I am receiving lots of pats from everyone.

More of the teachers are enrolled in the Dogs Connect course, which means in the coming weeks I will be able to visit more classes. Just remember I don’t come to every class each time I am at school as I would get too tired.

I have also had Mrs Lambropoulos training some of our Stage 3 students to take me on a walk. We are training inside the school and they are being very safe and responsible.

Last week I visited the Vet’s to have my yearly shots, I was brave and didn’t cry once. The Vet said I was in great shape and I even got a treat and cuddles from the nurses.

I am now working on feeling more comfortable being out and about with lots of people. If you see me outside after school, remember to say hello to the teacher first.

I am looking forward to a rest and some fun on the weekend. My mum, Mrs Ronzini, is taking me up to our family farm. I can’t wait to run around and play with the sheep, dogs and other animals.

Just remember the 3 expectations when I am at school.
