“The students in MAB are enjoying learning about character traits in realistic fiction. They are creating various characters with unique traits and are exploring what each character would say and do.” Naomi, MAB

We are looking forward to…..

We are excitedly anticipating our end-of-year performance! Our students have been thriving in their hip hop sessions, mastering a new dance each week and even recalling some of the classics!

Teaching our students this year has brought us immense joy, and we will continue to provide rich and engaging activities that deepen our connections right up until the end of the year. The transition will be an emotional one for us all!

Excursion to Collingwood Children’s Farm

This term, the Junior School Students have been learning all about how food products move from the farm to the table. They had the opportunity to attend an excursion to the Collingwood Children’s Farm.

The day started with a bus ride to Collingwood. Students then had a snack before each grade moved off to different activities with Farmers Mel and Mel as their tour guides. Students saw animals such as goats, sheep, chickens, ducks and peacocks.

Each student planted their own pea seed in a pot to take home. They explored several plant and animal objects using magnifying glasses and learnt about their origins. It was lunch time and students gathered to eat lunch before the final activity. They also had walks in the beautiful gardens and played in the field before heading back to school. The weather was perfect and the students had a wonderful time.

Foundation Community

This term, our Foundation students returned to school with the exciting addition of a brand-new sensory room! The room represents a year’s worth of learning about emotional regulation and well-being. Through various activities, students have developed their understanding of recognising, managing, and expressing their emotions in healthy ways. The sensory room provides a safe and engaging environment where they can apply these skills, offering calming lights, tactile elements, and quiet areas for personal reflection.

Our students have also taken on the responsibility of setting their own expectations for using and caring for the sensory room. By establishing guidelines together, they ensure the space remains a welcoming and respectful environment for everyone. We are thrilled to see how the sensory room will continue to support current and future students' growth, providing a dedicated space to recharge, manage emotions, and strengthen their well-being.
