Year 12 Graduation

On Friday this week, we said goodbye to our graduating Year 12 Class of 2024 with a special farewell Assembly. This followed a fun evening for the Year 12's on Thursday night, where they decorated the school for staff and students to enjoy on Friday morning. Friday also included a Valedictory Dinner at the City Bowls Club, which there will be photos of in the next Newsletter.

On Monday 14th October, the VCE Vocational Major class took a field trip to Owen's Trusses. Matt Hill, a former King's College student and now a supervisor at Owen's, lead us in a tour of the factory and explained the different career opportunities and pathways available in the construction industry.

VCE Business Management

On Tuesday 8th October, the Unit 2 Business Management class travelled to Homeseeka Real Estate in Warrnambool. We met in the board room with the Managing Director, Daryl, and the Marketing Manager, Karen, along with Russ Goodear from Good Idea Marketing. We were treated to an informative and engaging session and the students were able to gain a greater insight into the dynamic area of marketing and communications.

Turkey Study Tour

During the holidays, I was lucky enough to have been one of 12 students selected from their efforts completing a research project, to attend a 10-day study tour in Türkiye. We travelled with a local tour guide and a battlefield historian who took us through some of the incredible attractions in ancient Istanbul. After spending a period in this megacity, we travelled to Çanakkale where we would sail from each morning to conduct our chronological breakdown of the Gallipoli Campaign. It was a fantastic experience that I would strongly encourage anybody interested in either English or History to apply for
