Resource Library News
WELCOME TO TERM 4
As we embark on Term 4, the College Resource Library is buzzing with anticipation and a fresh perspective! This term, we are thrilled to introduce new clubs that promise to engage and inspire. Join us for the revamped Board Games Club, unleash your creativity in the returning Creators Club, or delve into the imaginative world of our brand-new Comic Club. Our library is not only a hub for these exciting activities, but also a treasure trove of knowledge with captivating book displays. In celebration of World Migratory Bird Day on October 9th, we have curated a special collection emphasising birds, conservation, and nature. Additionally, you can immerse yourself in the enchanting world of "Magic Beach" by Alison Lester and other delightful springtime texts. Don't miss the chance to admire the stunning Sarah Allen collage wall, a masterpiece by our talented 3/4 students during Booktacular. Whether you're a student, staff member, or parent, we warmly invite you to explore the College Resource Library, soak in the serene atmosphere, and be inspired by our diverse offerings. We can't wait to see you soon!
NEW LIBRARY CLUBS
The library is excited to welcome two new clubs to students using the college resource library. The Board Games Club is a new and improved club that will encompass Chess Club and now other board games. This came as a highly requested option by students, and will run on Mondays at lunchtime. The Comic Club is also a new addition to the library, running on Fridays at lunchtime. Developed from Booktacular: Book Week 2024, students can enjoy time to draw characters, create a comic strip, a story, or bring a piece of comic with them to explore.
LIBRARY STAFF & STUDENT FEEDBACK
The college resource library will be conducting quick student and staff feedback during term 4. This will include some interactive activities and learning opportunities for students within borrowing sessions. It is our hope that this will provide us with an assessment of how our college library is performing and ways to better manage our student learning experience.
