Promoting Student Wellbeing

A Welcomed Start, Thank You!

Firstly, THANK YOU for welcoming me into your school!!

For those who I haven't met yet, my name is Jocelyn, and I will be in the Student Wellbeing rooms at the Junior Campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I work for the Dept of Education in the Secondary Schools Program. My role is to help schools and their students to be healthy and happy to allow them to learn and achieve success.

Some examples of my duties are health promotion, education, wellbeing support and implementing worthwhile programs. I have been a registered nurse for 24 years. For 12 years I worked at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne and the past 12 years within a few different schools in a health centre role.

I will be helping at Breakfast Club and Board Game Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I look forward to meeting the students at these activities as I integrate into the school.

Warm thanks,

Jocelyn Bennett

Secondary School Nurse
