"News from the Nest"
This week we have another edition of ‘Lok Lok Sporting Stars’. Mr M was lucky enough to sit down with Lachie Devlin who has been making a name for himself out in the community of off road motor racing. He regularly competes in competitions and is known as an up and coming racing star!
Mr M – Thanks for coming on Lach! Can you tell me when you first started racing?
Lachie – I first started riding motorbikes when I was three or four years old. I started racing when I was in Grade 2.
Mr M – What was your first motorbike?
Lachie – Piwi 50, it felt fast at the time but would be slow now!
Mr M – What do you love about motocross?
Lachie – I love the temptation to go as fast as I can. I also like to win!
Mr M – What’s the biggest race you’ve ever competed in?
Lachie – I competed in the Australian off road championship this year. I won it as well!
Mr M – What an amazing achievement. How did it feel holding up that trophy?
Lachie – Pretty special. It was probably a once and a life time achievement!
Mr M – What’s next for you Lach, any more races coming up?
Lachie – YZ65 Cup.
Mr M – Can you explain a bit about that one for us?
Lachie – You did the same track as the pros. It’s a pretty challenging course.
Mr M – How do you like your chances in that race?
Lachie – I’m aiming for top 10!
Mr M – All the best mate and thanks for sharing a bit about your story!
Lachie – No worries, Mr M!
Remember, Eagles Soar as One!

A reminder that students can wear their house iron on patches on their school polos. These can be ironed onto students' polos, underneath the Ceres logo. It's great to see some students already wearing theirs!
