Boarding News

Mrs Kathryn Searle - Head of Boarding

This weekend is our last in boarding for our Year 12s.  While they pack and prepare for their last week and final exams, we will head to Dreamworld on Sunday for the day and attend the school’s annual LUX 24 Exhibition on Friday evening.  Please note, the Boarding House will be closed on Friday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm for all staff and students to attend this event.

Next week’s events for all boarders are Speech Night on Tuesday evening and the Year 12 Boarders’ Farewell Dinner on Thursday evening which is our in-house celebration.

With the above events next week, there will be no personal student driving on either of these nights as all students will be in attendance.  In boarding, we do our very best to transport your child to and from the many and varied co-curricular activities they have.  Sometimes, due to staffing and the availability of a driver, the requests cannot be met.  We always honour school activities, however, if we cannot meet your personal request, you will be notified.  A reminder that it is your responsibility to organise transport for your child to these non-school events if we cannot oblige.

Please advise us urgently of your child’s end of term travel arrangements if you have not already done so to: boarding@clayfield.qld.edu.au. The Boarding House will close on Thursday 28 November at 4:30pm.
