RAGE Book Club attends the YABBA awards ceremony at ACU

YABBA is a not for profit volunteer organisation working to bring Australian books alive for children.  Their goal is to have children Recommend, Read, Rate and Reward their favourite Australian books, culminating in the annual awards ceremony.

The Year 7 & 8 students from RAGE book club attended the awards ceremony on 22 October.  A number of well known authors and illustrators attended and our students enjoyed meeting them and collecting their autographs.

The Younger Reader winner was Runt by Craig Silvey and the Older reader winner was Scar Town by Tristan Banks.
