SheHacksSwift

Over the term break, I attended a week-long work experience called SheHacksSwift at theApple Foundation Program Space at RMIT University.  The program was run by Girl GeekAcademy, ‘a social enterprise dedicated to achieving gender equality in the technology industry’.  It was the first time the SheHacksSwift program was run and was focused on teaching girls in years 7 to 11 how to code an app in the Swift programming language.  This was my first time attending a program like SheHacksSwift and it was an amazing experience.  I met many girls from all over Melbourne interested in coding and technology.  I learned a lot, not only in terms of coding but also career opportunities from the wonderful mentors.  The program is free and I recommend it to all girls who are interested in coding.
