First Netball Team Match Report vs Cranbrook | 16 May 2026 | Lost 33-44
This week marked our first home game of the season as we welcomed new competition entrants, Cranbrook, and took on their Firsts team.
Cranbrook came out strongly from the opening whistle and caught us off guard early, taking advantage of a fast start while we worked to settle into the game. Although the first quarter left us trailing, the team responded with composure and determination.
After regrouping, we steadily chipped away at the margin through disciplined passages of play and relentless effort across the court. The girls executed their baulk passes effectively, used strong shielding around the circle, and contested every ball with intensity. Their quick footwork and defensive pressure against a very tall holding shooter were particularly impressive.
One of the highlights of the match was the seamless way the team adapted to positional changes throughout the game. Every adjustment was smooth and confident, reflecting the versatility, connection, and trust developing within the squad. It was also fantastic to see the skills and structures we have been focusing on at training being implemented so effectively during match play.
A big thank you to all players for their continued commitment to training and games - the hard work is clearly having a positive impact. While the result did not fall our way this week, the team showed resilience, growth, and sportsmanship, building both experience and new friendships along the way. That is what team sport is all about.
Thank you also to our umpires and bench officials for their support and contribution to the game

First Netball Team Match Report vs Barker | 23rd May 2026 | Win 40-21
Playing away at the Rosewood Centre, Barker’s home ground, always presents a tough challenge. With their depth across all teams, we knew we would need to work hard from the very first whistle.
After a short, sharp warm-up, the girls took to the court with great intensity and purpose - and maintained that energy for the entire match.
Barker’s defensive line-up brought plenty of pressure with strong contests and long reach through the court, but the team remained calm, composed, and committed to our game plan. We trusted our structures, backed our training, and executed consistently under pressure.
By half time, we had established a five-goal lead - exactly where we wanted to be heading into the second half. Rather than becoming complacent, the girls lifted again, creating deliberate attacking options, maintaining disciplined structures, and playing each position with confidence and intent.
Our rolling substitutions proved invaluable, keeping players fresh and allowing us to maximise match-ups across the court.
Barker continued to challenge us throughout the game and pushed us to keep raising our standard, but the team responded brilliantly to finish with a convincing 19-goal win.
A fantastic team performance and an especially memorable result for Jess and Ruby, who both celebrated milestone birthdays this week.

Seconds Netball Team Match Report vs Barker | 23rd May 2026 | Loss 32-35
This was a challenging game for the team; and a tight game that saw a mix between drawn scores, being a point ahead, before unfortunately Barker took a 5 point lead in the end. There was still lots to take from this game. Marnie had a fantastic game, applying mid court pressure and playing an important role in the defence to attack transition game. The team worked well the cheer eachother on and remain positive, even when the pressure was high.
From this game we will work on developing our endurance, so that we can continue to maintain pressure even when under fatigue. Additionally, working on building and strengthening our communication skills so that we can work consistently.

Inters Netball Team Match Report vs Barker | 23rd May 2026 | Loss 42-19
This week the inters team came up against Barker. The team had to make sure to play smarter during this game, as they came up against a team that was significantly taller than them. The team had to make sure to use their learnings from training earlier that week to make smart decisions, including channels, short options and long options. The team had some great surges during the game; where communication was high, movement was clean and passes were sharp. Moving forward, working on endurance to maintain this throughout the whole game will prove valuable. The team unfortunately lost this week, but they have learnt a lot moving into the rest of the season.

Juniors Netball Team Match Report vs Barker | 23rd May 2026 | Loss 14-24
It was great to see a lot of improvement on the court this week. The team did a much better job bringing the ball down the court and moving into space, which helped create more opportunities in attack.
It was a really good game overall, and a highlight was how strongly the team finished, with a great comeback in the final quarter.
A fantastic team effort with lots of progress already showing!

Hockey
First Hockey Team Match Report vs CCGS | 16 May 2026 | Lost 2–1
The First Hockey team took to their home ground on Saturday for a spirited contest against Central Coast Grammar School, going down 2–1 in a game that showed plenty of promise for the season ahead.
The girls started strongly, with Lola opening the scoring in the first half to give the team an early lead. CCGS fought back with two goals to take the win, but the scoreline didn't tell the full story of what was an encouraging performance from the home side.
A standout moment came from Kerry, whose impressive stick skills saw her weave past multiple opponents, driving the ball deep into CCGS territory on several occasions. There was also a nail-biting chance near the end of the first half — a short corner that saw Grace deliver a beautiful hit-out that came agonisingly close to finding the back of the goal.
It was a pleasure to play on home turf, and special thanks goes to Chris, our groundskeeper, for presenting the field in excellent condition — flat, trimmed, and ready for play.
Most importantly, the team showed clear improvement from their previous outing, playing with great connection and enjoyment.
A great effort, girls — more to come!

Junior Girls Hockey - Match Report vs Redlands | 9 May 2026 | Won 4–0
The Junior girls hockey team continued their impressive start to the season with a commanding 4–0 victory over Redlands - making it two wins from two games!
Redlands came in as a competitive side with a strong defensive game, but our girls rose to the challenge, maintaining excellent structure and pressure from the first whistle to the last. The team's discipline and commitment to their positions was clear for all to see.
A special mention goes to Maddy, who stepped up as goalkeeper for the first time and had a standout debut, keeping a clean sheet throughout the match. A brilliant effort!
Goals on the day came from Harriet, Niamh, Nicole, and Lola - each finding the net in what was a polished attacking performance.
In the midfield and attack, Harriet and Niamh were outstanding, demonstrating excellent spatial awareness and positioning at exactly the right moments. Their precision was a real highlight. Mirada and Molly also caught the eye, combining superbly as a duo - supporting each other and linking play with great instinct and teamwork.
Every player is growing beautifully into their role, and that growth was on full display against Redlands. The whole squad should be incredibly proud of what they're building together this season.
Well done, girls - we can't wait to see what comes next!
