GRAMPIANS CAMP
On a very foggy morning an excited bunch of 145 Year 8 students met in the car park of the Mercy Campus, then crammed on to the buses and headed for Halls Gap.
What a week they had! Students were immersed in all that the Grampians National Park has to offer: chilly mornings, beautiful sunny days, cold winter nights worthy of a chat around a warm campfire, and of course all the adventure activities they could handle – mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, abseiling and a high ropes course.
Staff were impressed with the students' attitudes and willingness to give everything a go despite how nervous and scared they may have felt.
A huge thank-you goes out to the staff attending. Without their dedication, commitment and hard work, the week would not be possible.

HUMANITIES IMMERSION DAY
Year 8 students have studied the Middle Ages in Europe this term, from the feudal system and castles to Vikings, technology, and fashion.
On Thursday 4 June, they presented inquiry projects in small groups as part of a special Immersion Day. Check out their creative presentations.
This was also a casual clothes day, with donations going towards the St Vinnies Winter Appeal.
