COLLEGE SPORT

What an action-packed term of sport! We have several wins to celebrate. But most of all, we applaud all our athletes for giving their all and displaying superior sportsmanship in every match.

Some of our athletes are now excitedly preparing for regional and state competitions.

NETBALL

Both our Intermediate Netball Teams excelled on the court at the SSVS competition on Monday 25 May.

Our committed boys won all their games and made it to the final round! However, their journey ended there. Excellent effort, boys!

Our unstoppable girls won every game, including their final match. They will compete in the Loddon-Mallee Regional Finals on Monday 20 July. Congratulations and well done!

LMR CROSS COUNTRY

Congratulations to our students who travelled to St Arnaud on Tuesday 2 June for the Loddon-Mallee Cross Country Regional Competition. The day was a cold one, but these athletes crossed the finish line in style.

Let's give a resounding round of applause for those students who finished in the top 10 of their respective categories and will next compete at the State level in Melbourne on 16 July:

• Ollie Richardson – 12/13 Boys

• Jesse Kalms – 15 Boys

• Alexis Paterson & Mia Pascale – 15 Girls

• Leo Nicholson & Kaiden Hillier – 17 to 20 Boys

• Montana Zappia – 16 Girls

Although they will not compete in the State teams competitions, our three teams placed very well on the day.

• 12/13 Boys – 2nd Place: Ollie Richardson, Jude Ridley, Jobe Ayers

• 15 Boys – 3rd Place: Jesse Kalms, Aydin Yazici, Conor O’Reilly, Mali Holmes, Austin Kalms

• 15 Girls – 2nd Place: Mia Pascale, Alexis Paterson, Mercedes Leal-Kaiser

SSVS INTERMEDIATE BOYS & GIRLS FOOTBALL

On Thursday 21 May, our Intermediate Girls won two of their games! However, they were unsuccessful at securing a spot at the LMR after losing their final match. Still, not a bad way to end the season. Well done!

Our Intermediate Boys dominated on the day and won all their games! They're off to the LMR in Swan Hill! WOOP-WOOP!
