TERM 2 ASSEMBLY
RECOGNISING EXCELLENCE
The College celebrated student achievement of all kinds at our latest Assembly on Thursday 11 June. Principal Greg Kluske first announced the recipients of this term’s Principal’s Awards. Next, we awarded badges our Year 8 Mercy Captains followed by badges and certificates to the latest Virtue Conquers recipients.
Xavier Nicholas was crowned as Term 2's Unsung Hero. Xavier came to the College on a Home Study Day to personally farewell crossing supervisor Judy Malone on her final day prior to retirement. He also treated her to breakfast. Read more about Judy and her dedication to the students of St Joseph’s College in Issue 3 of Community.
Because our students do so many exceptional things in their off-campus hours, this Assembly included a ‘Local Legends’ segment. We honoured students for achievements of all kinds, including senior sporting debuts, personal bests, performing arts endeavours, and community service.
Students who displayed excellent skills and sportsmanship during a handful of interschool sport competitions also received well-deserved medals.
Congratulations to all of our high achievers!
