Kelly Club

Before and After School Care.

It was great to see everyone back at Kelly Club after the school holidays! The highlights so far this year have been making paper watermelon fans, and cooking pancakes and tacos.

Last week the children made pancakes. They all worked well together to add and mix all of the ingredients. They then each had a turn of pouring and flipping a pancake. Sully found some choc chips in the fridge when collecting the ingredients, and thought they would make the pancakes even better. After they were cooked, the children enjoyed eating them with maple syrup or lemon juice.

Ella, Vivienne and Mackenzie made paper watermelon fans. First they had to do lots of measuring, cutting and pasting of red, light green and dark green pieces of paper. Next they folded their pieces of paper accordion style to make them into a fan. The girls said the fans have come in handy lately, with the warm weather we have been having.

This week the children enjoyed making tacos. First everyone worked together to prepare all of the ingredients. Ella, Mackenzie and Willa chopped the tomato, Sam and Felix organised the cheese, Charlotte, Vivienne and Emerson got the lettuce ready, Spencer and Xavier cooked the meat, while Polly and Remi sorted out the tortillas and taco shells. Once all the ingredients had been prepared the children made their own tacos.

Before School Care

Due to feedback from families, Kelly Club will continue to provide before school care for the rest of term 1.

If by the last week of term 1 the average number of before school care bookings is at least 5 per day, before school care will continue to run in term 2.

If the average before school care attendance does not reach the target of 5 by the last week of term 1, unfortunately before school care will not run in term 2.

If you wish to book your child into before school care please book them in using the Xplor app or contact Josh via email or mobile.

Ceres Primary School’s Kelly Club program has been running since 2021.

Ceres Primary has a strong local community which we love being involved in. We have a dedicated space within the school, which means we’ve been able to really make it our own. We have a fantastic range of activities that are tailored to the children’s ages and skill levels, and we provide a range of nutritious, tasty snacks in the afternoon.

Our goal at Kelly Club is to make your kids feel right at home in a safe, nurturing environment where they can have heaps of fun. Our dedicated and passionate staff are fully trained in all aspects of looking after your children, and know how to bring out the best in them. We’ll give you the peace of mind that they are getting the very best of care at either end of their busy day. Our flexible booking system makes it easy to organise sessions, and because we charge in arrears, you’ll only pay for the childcare you use. Plus, if you’re eligible for a CCS subsidy, you can get up to 100% of your fees covered by Services Australia, depending on your circumstances.

Come on and take a look at our program today—we’d love to show you around. If you’re ready to start booking sessions for your children, click the button below.
