A note from Mrs Whitechurch

As I write this last newsletter as an Assistant Principal, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone of their support, assistance, and collaboration. I feel so fortunate to work in such a caring and compassionate community and I have loved every minute of my time as an AP.

In particular, a huge thankyou goes to Jeff. He is an exceptional leader and works tirelessly and selflessly for the good of all at RPS. His vision, guidance and energy has been a great inspiration.

Thankyou also to the amazing staff at Rosanna PS. They are truly an incredible passionate group of people that I have had the privilege of working with over the last five years.

I am excited and thrilled to begin my new role as Disability Inclusion Leader in 2024.

A Disability Inclusion Leader plays a key role in coordinating the team around the learner with additional needs.

As a Disability Inclusion Leader I will:

  • promote a culture of high expectations and aspirations for the learning of students with disability and additional needs.
  • be an advocate and champion for students with disability and additional needs and work with staff to implement strategies for supporting the education of these students.
  • work collaboratively with the school’s leadership and allied health team.
  • continue to work collaboratively with services/teams outside school, liaising with Student Support Services key contacts and external therapists.
  • act as a source of advice for staff about differentiated teaching strategies appropriate for individual students with disability and with additional needs

Looking forward to sharing more with you in the future,

Lynda Whitechurch

Assistant Principal
