Getting to Know Our New Teachers
Over the next couple of newsletters we will feature a short Q & A with our new teachers to enable you to get to know them a little bit.
Geoff Boxer
What is your role at CPS this year?
My role at CPS this year is fulltime teacher of Grade 4A.
What were you doing in 2023?
I was a relief teacher in '23 working for both an agency & direct with CPS. I did this for a year, trying to get to as many schools as possible to vary my teaching experiences.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in bayside, attending a local primary school & a private secondary school. I lived in and started my schooling in America (3yrs).
What is one thing you can't live without?
One thing I cannot live without is music. I always have it on and enjoy a wide variety of music styles.
What is your favourite food?
My favourite food is Pizza. My favourite 'non food' is Chocolate Almonds.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about motorcycles and motorcycle safety. A goal of mine is to ride through Mongolia one day.
Emily Wiseman
What is your role at CPS this year?
Year 4 classroom teacher and team leader
What were you doing in 2023?
Maternity leave and teaching in Sydney prior.

Wollongong, NSW
What is one thing you can't live without?
Family and my dog Coco
What is your favourite food?
Pizza
What are you passionate about?
Travelling
Mark McKinnon
What is your role at CPS this year?
Education Support
What were you doing in 2023?
First half - working in data analytics and digital transformation in business.
Also learning how to fly! (iFly)
Second half - studying ed support at Holmesglen and training for a half marathon.
Where did you grow up?
Attended schools in Mt Eliza, Somerville, Shepparton, Frankston, Koo Wee Rup.
What is one thing you can't live without?
Gadgets - currently, Zyliss Easypull food chopper.
What is your favourite food?
Cauliflower. Second is baked cheesecake.
What are you passionate about?
Running. Yeah, I love it.
Angus McCracken
What is your role at CPS this year?
I am a year 6 teacher for 6C
What were you doing in 2023?
In 2023 I was travelling and embracing new challenges. This included exploring different ways of living in India and Vietnam, driving up the west coast of Australia on a budget, and endeavouring to complete my final year of my Master of Teaching
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in the south-east of Melbourne, around Berwick
What is one thing you can't live without?
Books
What is your favourite food?
Pad Thai
What are you passionate about?
I'm passionate about exploring beyond my comfort zone for immersive learning experiences and believe in inspiring others to do the same. Also, a big fan of Liverpool FC and Essendon
Georgia Lydeamore
What is your role at CPS this year?
This year I have joined the CPS team as an Education Support staff member. You will find me supporting the grade one teachers and students.
What were you doing in 2023?
In 2023 I was in my third year of studying primary teaching at Deakin University, as well as working as an early childhood educator in a nursery room. I love to explore new places and a highlight of my year was travelling to New Zealand.
Where did you grow up?
I was born in Melbourne and grew up not too far away from CPS, with my Mum, Dad and two younger sisters.
What is one thing you can't live without?
My cheeky ginger cat, Leo.
What is your favourite food?
This is a very tricky question because I am a massive foodie and could list an endless number of options. However, my go to meal is any type of pasta.
What are you passionate about?
I am incredibly passionate about early childhood education and lifelong learning. I love to help people and understand that every individual learns differently, which motivates me in my role at CPS. I am also incredibly passionate about children’s literature and will always be searching for the latest children’s book with a deeper meaning.
