Always was, always will be

Acknowledgement of Country

Here's our school's student Acknowledgement of Country - do you remember the actions that accompany it?

Here is the land,

Here is the sky,

Here are my friends,

Here am I.

Today I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country, the Wurundjeri Woiwurrung People of the Kulin Nation, past and present;

on whose Land we learn, sing and play.

All welcome to join!

Wawa! Come join our team to learn more and do more! Meet in the Year 6 area on Thursday lunch play.

We celebrated an incredible year of action, sharing First Nations perspectives and excellence with our school community last year and we're looking forward to another great year ahead.

Learning on Country - Heart

Can you spot the heart in the layers of Country? This is links to the Statement of the Heart. Uncle Glenn Loughrey's piece 'Learning on Country' is now proudly hanging in the front office. Come for a closer look!

Woiwurrung Word of the Week

NGV International: Triennial

Triennial includes a number of First Nations Artists such as Aunty Kim Wandin's eel trap out the front of NGV International. [Side note to Year 6s - the banana piece is there too!]

NGV Ian Potter Centre: Wurrdha Marra

Wurrdha Marra – meaning ‘Many Mobs’ in the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung language. Wurrdha Marra is a dynamic exhibition space in which familiar works from the NGV’s collection of First Nations Australian art and design are displayed alongside new acquisitions. Presented through a series of changing thematics, the works on display offers a series of visual dialogues as a way to explore how parallel innovations and continuities can continue to inspire new ways of thinking about art.
