NAPLAN 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is a literacy and numeracy assessment that students in Years 7 and 9 sit each year. This year, the NAPLAN test window opens on 13th March.

All students are expected to participate in the assessment program and adjustments are available for students with a disability who have diverse functional abilities and needs. You may be contacted by the school to discuss these adjustments, or please contact the school if you have any concerns about your child’s participation in the testing.

The tests are completed online so your child is required to have their laptop fully charged each day. They will also require a set of headphones for all of the tests except Reading. Some headphones will be available for use on the day.

The Belmont High School NAPLAN test schedule is as follows:

Wed 13th March:  9am – Writing – 42 minutes

Thursday 14th March: 9am Reading – 65  minutes, 11am Conventions of Language (spelling, grammar and punctuation) – 45 minutes

Friday 15th March: 9am Numeracy – 65 minutes

I encourage you to read the NAPLAN information below.
