A Great Start to Term 2 in 3/4C

Welcome back to Term 2, everyone and a big hello from 3/4C.

We began Term 2 with a 'Let's Celebrate Eid Al Fitr' on Tuesday afternoon. We began the celebrations by taking turns to share how we celebrate Eid or other religious and cultural observations such Easter, Orthodox Easter, Eid Al Adha, Christmas, Lunar New Year, Halloween, birthdays, etc. Of course, the fun part of the whole celebration was sharing the yummy food our classmates had brought in and making Eid Al Fitr buntings. Our big thanks to all the 3/4 families for their generous contributions!

In Maths, we began the term learning about data and representation. T consolidated our understanding about tallying, creating a table, collecting data, survey question, charts and graphs and also learnt how to represent our data using correct labeling such as x and y axes. We then moved on to solving addition equations and word problems using efficient strategies.

In Writing, we are learning to consolidate our narrative writing skills by organising our thoughts and ideas using planning templates, varying our sentence starters and describing the characters and what is taking place in greater detail.

Don't forget that every day is Nude Food. Collecting and tallying the number of Nude Foods across our school is 3/4C's responsibilities and we are very excited to carry it through successfully.
