ANZAC DAY 2024

Australian and New Zealand Army Corps

ThaANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. Anzac Day falls on the 25th of April each year. The 25th of April was officially named Anzac Day in 1916. On the 25th of April 1915, Australian and New Zealand soldiers formed part of the allied expedition that set out to capture the Gallipoli peninsula.

April 25 marks Anzac Day, a solemn occasion of remembrance observed in Australia, New Zealand, and Türkiye, honouring the fallen soldiers who fought in the Battle of Gallipoli during World War I.

Acknowledging all past and present conflicts is also recognised as part of ANZAC day ceremonies.

Thank you to the families who all came to one of the ANZAC Day ceremonies yesterday.

There were two services held for Pascoe Vale yesterday. The Dawn service at 6am and the 9am School Service.

Dawn Service

Thank you to all the other students and families who also attended this service.

School Service

Thank you to Sami for displaying her confidence to speak at the School Service. Sami's speech was to acknowledge the Vietnam and Korean wars. We laid three wreaths, one each for the Vietnam and Korean war and one for Pascoe Vale North Primary.

Lest we forget.
