Types of ways we can represent numbers:

-digit/numeral

-tally marks

-picture

-bundles

-tens frames

-number lines

-words

-using money

-on a clock

- ordinal number i.e 1st or 2nd

-place value - 12 is 1 ten and 2 ones

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Students choose a number and draw and write that number in three or four different representations. Repeat with a different number.

Or

Students could find numbers in their environment and draw the numbers they find. Optional: they could use technology to take a photo of each number they find.
