CURRICULUM FOCUS

We are learning to Think aloud while we read.

The aim of thinking aloud is to ensure students are thinking about what they read.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Read a story with your child and discuss what they were thinking while they were listening to the book.

Ask your child to read with you and get them to pause and think after each page and share their thinking.

Ask your child to read a book to you or a sibling and share their thinking aloud.
