As usual, Christmas time is busy for musicians. Last week, many ensembles brought the Christmas spirit around the campus by playing and singing music before school at the Kiss Drop zone, outside the Hall and at the entrance to South Creek Road. You may have heard the musical performances at the Prizegiving assemblies, with Junior Vocal Ensemble and the Year 4 band performing at Junior Prizegiving and the combined Orchestra and Senior Choir who were joined with the Staff Choir for the Senior Prizegivings. Most years we have a competition to compose a fanfare for Prizegiving. This year’s fanfare was composed by Adele (C10) and performed by a brass quintet (of Year 10 students) at both the Senior events.

Allegro will be volunteering a day of their holidays to support the Collaroy War Vets and join their choirs in a Christmas concert on 20th December. We applaud these students for their service to our community.

Rehearsal times for next year’s ensembles have been published on the School app, and will start on the second week of Term 1 (week beginning 5th February).
