A warm welcome back to everyone, I hope your holidays were restful and are ready to start 2024 with hope and anticipation. It has been a smooth start to all students and they have quickly settled into their routines. One real positive is that students have been very punctual and are in full school uniform which is great to see.
School Hats - Term 1 and Term 4
A reminder to all students that they need their school hats at recess and lunchtime. School hats must either broad brim or bucket with a school logo. Students without a school hat are out of uniform and will be placed on detention with Mr Lockhart.
Yard Access - 2024 - Slight Change
- Year 5 no access to secondary play area - same as last year
- Year 6 - access to secondary basketball/tennis courts only - Semester 1 - the only change
- Year 6 - full access to whole school yard - Semester 2 - same as last year
Swimming Carnival - Week 3 - Friday 16/2 – Exciting News!!!
Our first whole school event is fast approaching – Week 3 Swimming Carnival - Friday 16/2. This is a great opportunity to build school spirit and have fun. Three things we want you to do: turn up, dress up and participate!!!Homeroom Competitions - Free College Cafe Lunches
- If your homeroom has 100% attendance and everybody is dressed in house colours – your homeroom will receive a free college café lunch.
- If your homeroom has 100% attendance, everybody dressed in house colours and 100% participation (every student goes in a least one event) your homeroom will receive another free college café lunch.
A reminder one of our SWPBS Expected Behaviours in our matrix under the value of Responsible is ' I will actively participate'.
Basketball is back in 2024!!
Term 1 2024 – Basketball Is Back!!!!
1. Aussie Hoops - Starting Week 3 - Thursday 15/2 from 3.35pm to 4.15pm Foundation to Yr 4. No registration required. All participants will get a free basketball and drink bottle (new participants only)- only catch is you have to attend every Thursday for 6 weeks. All interested students to arrive at the KLC at 3.35pm on Thursday 15/2. Hope you have been practicing!!! Please remember to brink your ball and drink bottle.
2. Basketball Competition - Starting Week 3 - Wednesday 14/2 from 3.40pm to 4.30pm - Yr 5 to Yr 12.
