Farewell Father John Madden

As was communicated in our newsletters towards the end of last year, Father John informed the Parish community that he was leaving Sacred Heart Kew in early 2024. As such, this coming weekend will be Father John’s last weekend at Sacred Heart Parish Kew. Father John has been Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Parish Kew since 2018. Whenever we have attended Mass celebrations, Father John has always been an engaging presence, providing us with many spiritual thought provoking occasions, promoting our spiritual growth and development, as he shared with us, the good news of Jesus Christ. We wish Father John well with his future plans.

Welcome Father Trevor Tibbertsma

Next week, Sacred Heart Parish Kew welcomes Father Trevor Tibbertsma to our community who will be our new Priest.

Who is Father Trevor Tibbertsma?

Father Trevor was ordained a Priest in 2017 at St Patrick’s Cathedral, here in East Melbourne. Recently, Father Trevor has been studying the Bible in Rome and completing a PhD in the UK. Father Trevor will help us here at Sacred Heart Kew to learn more about God and will also be teaching at Corpus Christi College (part-time). Father Trevor is hoping for a Hawthorn miracle this year, as this is the football team that he supports. He can't wait to meet everyone and be a part of the community. Please say hello to Father Trevor when you see him. We look forward to welcoming Father Trevor to our parish and school community.
